Right now the Chilko River is alive with the annual spring migration of baby sockeye salmon. The one year old smolts are heading to the Pacific Ocean. The fry are emerging from the gravel and heading up Chilko Lake. Consequently there are a lot of baby fish in the Chilko system right now!
