7 Night Fully Guided River Fly Fishing Package Rates and Dates
Our Fully guided seven night River Fly Fishing packages are designed to offer you an excellent fly fishing trip. We take care of all of the little details, so you can relax and enjoy a great fly fishing trip. Our packages are from Sunday to Sunday, offering you six and half days of excellent fully guided fly fishing for wild trophy rainbow trout.
2019 FLY FISHING RATE
Seven Night Fly Fishing Package Sunday to Sunday US 5195.00 plus GST tax
- Flight Vancouver to Tsylos return ( charter aircraft)
- 7 nights' accommodations based on dbl occupancy.
- 6 ½ days fly fishing
- All meals, wine with dinner
- One guide for each two anglers
- Lake trip and drift boat trip ( weather and river conditions dependent)
- Canoes and kayaks available, horseback riding can be arranged with prior notice.
PACKAGE DOES NOT INCLUDE
- GST Tax 2.5% non-Canadians ( 5% Canadians)
- Fishing licenses ( $200 per week per person)
- Beverages from the bar
- Personal fly fishing gear, rod, waders, boots, ( we have extra rods, waders and boots if you need gear, please check in with us to ensure we have your size)
RESERVATIONSTo reserve space a 50% deposit of the total trip price is due at the time of reservation. The balance is due 60 days in advance of the trip. The deposit can be made by Visa, MasterCard, or US cheque or US Wire Transfer. The deposit per person is US$ 2662.44
TRAVEL AND TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCEWe highly recommend trip cancellation insurance. As both the deposit and final balance are non- refundable if you have to cancel your trip regardless of reason.
FLIGHT INFORMATIONADDRESS: Signature Building, 5360 Airport Road South, Richmond BC VANCOUVER TO TSYLOS CHECK IN: 8:50 AM, plane starts loading at 9:00 am, DEPARTURE: 9:30 AM TSYLOS TO VANCOUVER DEPARTS LODGE 8:30 AM arrives in Vancouver by 1:00 pm. Please do not make connecting flights out of Vancouver to home until after 3:30 pm. This allows for delays due to weather conditions as well as enough time to transfer between airports and clear customs.
LUGGAGE RESTRICTIONS:Passengers can have 40 lbs. maximum luggage weight per person in soft luggage please.
VEHICLE TRANSFERS BETWEEN AIRPORT AND LODGEWe use three different airports to transport guests from Vancouver to Tsylos. In the off season when passenger numbers are lower, we can use the small Chilko airport with a six passenger charter plane. In the peak season we are using an 18 passenger beech 1900. This aircraft requires a larger strip such as Anaheim Lake airport or Puntzi Airport. These airports are a 1.5-2 hour drive from the lodge. We pick you up at the airport and drive to the lodge in time for lunch.
ITEMS TO BRING FOR YOUR FLY FISHING TRIPOur weather can be hot, cold, or wet, appropriate attire suitable to the great outdoors and changing weather conditions is a must. Dressing in layers that you can add on or take off is best. So here are a few items to help ensure you have a great trip.
AROUND THE LODGECamera, batteries, flashlight, sun screen, bug juice, swim suit for Jacuzzi, comfortable clothing and footwear for around the lodge, fleece jacket or sweater for cool to cold evenings, toiletries, and special medications.
FLY FISHING EQUIPMENTChest waders, rubber soled wading boots, fly rod 5/6 wt. for the river, 6/7 wt. for the lake, dry line, fast sinking tip line, tippet and leaders 2x,3x, polarized sunglasses, fly vest, hip pack, and a lucky fly hat.
BARBLESS FLIES TO BRINGDRY FLIES - The staple patterns on the Chilko River include the orange bodied Stimulator, Sofa Pillow, Designated Hitter (sizes #2 - #8) and the Chernobyl ant (sizes #2 - #6). Other dry flies include the Carpenter Ant, Green and Brown sedge, Grey Wulff, Royal Wulff, Adams, Elk Hair Caddis, Shadow May Fly in sizes from #8 to #14, the Royal Coachman is also used in sizes #6 - #8.
WET FLIES -Black and olive Wooley Buggers, White Rabbit Leech patterns, Matukas, Muddler minnows, clousers, and Polar Bear Streamers are used. Stone Fly Nymphs, Hares Ears, and egg patterns are also effective dead drifted.
