Great news! Starting April 1, 2022, travellers who are fully vaccinated (with two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine) will not have to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test (Antigen or the PCR test), prior to their flight or arrival at Canada’s border. However, Canadians still need to show vaccination proof to take a plane within Canada.
Fully vaccinated travellers might still have to undergo random testing when they arrive in Canada, but they don’t have to quarantine while awaiting their results.
Unvaccinated and partially vaccinated travellers will be subject to a molecular test both when they arrive and again eight days later. They also must quarantine for 14 days.
All travellers, regardless of vaccination status, must fill out the ArriveCAN app before entering Canada. Travellers who arrive without completing their ArriveCAN submission may have to test on arrival and quarantine for 14 days, regardless of their vaccination status.
Prior to travelling, it is recommended to check the COVID-19 testing and vaccination requirements, including entry requirements for returning home as they may be different from Canadian rules. Canadian government travel requirements
We hope you are as excited about some of the travel restrictions being lifted as much as we are here at Tyslos Park Wilderness Lodge. The new changes will make your arrival in Canada simpler and more enjoyable. Which we all want at the start of our vacation.
